Road to Om Yoga Classes

STRONG FLOW

Sun: 9:00-10:00am
Wed: 5:30-6:30pm

 

Prepare to sweat and be challenged in this strong flow class. Creative kramas (sequencing) will prepare the body and mind for a peak or apex pose. This class incorporates more challenging asanas of inversions, arm balances, standing balancing poses, core work, binds and backbends. As always, modifications and variations will be offered, but this class is primarily designed for established practitioners who have an understanding of the basic poses of vinyasa yoga.


VINYASA FLOW

Sun: 10:30-11:30am
Fri: 9:00-10:00am

 

A yoga flow class that seamlessly synchronizes breath with movement. Asanas (poses) are linked together with flowing movements called vinyasa. The word vinyasa means “to place in a particular order” which turns this creative style of yoga practice into a moving meditation. You can expect a well-rounded, smartly sequenced class that builds basic to infinite with modifications and variations making this a challenging, yet accessible class for all-levels of practitioners.

Mon: 5:30-6:30pm

Community: Join us after class on most Monday evenings for a gathering of community! Each Monday we will choose a fun place downtown to hang out after class...like the brewery in the building, restaurant or even our studio/home. Of course, this is optional, but a great way to get to know one another off the mat. We hope on occasion you'll be able to join in the fun. Have suggestions on where to hang out? Let us know!


YIN SLOW FLOW

Tue: 10:00 - 11:00am
Thu: 10:00-11:00am

 

A healing and relaxing style of yoga that combines deep stretches that target the connective tissues of the body with soft slow flows that connect breath with movement. This class typically incorporates a pranayama (breathing) practice and occasionally a yoga nidra practice (yogic sleep). Plenty of options and props will be offered to make this class accessible to all practitioners. Yin yoga is a great compliment to vinyasa style classes.


NOON MID-DAY BREAK FLOW

Tue: 12:00-12:45pm
Thu: 12:00-12:45pm

 

Enjoy a 45-minute lunch class designed to fight the mid-day slump. You can expect a light, revitalizing flow with plenty of breath work and sequences designed to cultivate focus and ease for the rest of your afternoon.


CANDLELIGHT VINYASA

Wed: 7:00-8:00pm

 

A slower paced flow class preparing you to relax into the evening hours. You can expect a flowing sequence of postures deigned to promote a quiet mind and a grounded body by releasing physical and mental tension. This class will incorporate restorative postures, pranayama (breath work) and meditation.

Yoga 101 is a four week series designed to introduce new students to the fundamentals of yoga. (Not new to yoga, but would like to brush up on the fundamentals? You are welcome to join.) After completing your four weeks of introductory practice you will have gained the skills to have a wellrouded home practice or feel comfortable to join in group classes at a studio.
