road to om

Welcome!

The road to om opened in 2019 in our private residence in lovely downtown Lincoln for community focused yoga classes, a variety of workshops and special events. Troy ran the behind the scenes while Amy taught classes. In the fall of 2022, the physical studio went on hiatus as Amy and Troy were caring for family members.

Due to the increasingly busy schedules of their day jobs (Amy is the Operations Director at the ACLU of Nebraska and Troy is the Executive Director of the Lincoln Arts Council), live in-studio and online classes ceased in the fall of 2022. The studio has now migrated to this on-demand format.

At the road to om each class is specialized to those who are in attendance and will always be seasonally appropriate, well-rounded and thoughtfully sequenced. We love to use yoga props and variations. Suggestions and options are always offered.

Everyone is welcome to attend our classes no matter your age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, your yoga experience or ability. We strive to create safe and welcoming community where you can practice honoring your inner guide, body and breath.

What people are saying

“Miss the energy of a full studio and seeing all my yoga friends, but grateful for all Amy and Troy have done to make it possible for us to continue to practice anywhere. Road to Om Yoga Studio is the best!”

“Your playful, genuine, kind approach to the practice removed any intimidation that could been associated. You inspired me to immerse myself in the moment, in the practice, 100%. And - in my very naive opinion - it is only through that immersion that one can really recognize the deepest benefits yoga offers. That is not a gift all instructors share.”

“Loved yoga today! Thank you for keeping my mind and body busy so I had to focus on what we were doing and LET GO! Exactly what I needed. I felt so energized afterwards. Can’t wait for the next time!”

“Yesterday’s class was awesome! Thank you so much! It was so much fun to try new things and accomplish some of them. (And feel it ALL today) And the encouragement from the others in class was just amazing. Thank you thank you!!”
